2/22/12: W2L – Favorite Childhood Novel

Aslan and the Witch

My favorite book when I was a kid was The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. I’ve probably read it ten times, and I also loved to read some of the sequels as well. It’s my favorite battle between good and evil, and the magic of Aslan and his ways made me fall in love with God all over again. I identified with Susan Pevensie, being a big sister myself, and I always wanted to be like her (until, of course, I read the last book). Peter Pevensie is my favorite book character of all time (to this day) because I (subconsciously, I guess) could see in him all of the qualities of a Godly person and an amazing king. After that, I wanted to live in Narnia so badly, sometimes I would actually check in old looking wardrobes! The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe had a huge effect on my imagination, and my faith as well.
